Hydroelectricity is when you create electricity with hydropower. Hydropower is the energy created by the force of falling or flowing water. Hydroelectricity does not produce any direct waste and creates less greenhouse gasses unlike other energy producers such as fossil fuels. About 20%  of the world’s energy is created through hydroelectricity and 88% of renewable energy making it the most widely used form of renewable energy.
